i figured out what's stifling my creativity!

.....my day job.

Don't! I think I may be the opposite.

My maternity leave runs out in a couple of months and then I am sure to be inspired ahd wish I had long days to spend wandering about my house, mopping up sick...etc... Hmm, TMI??

Not happy with my job thing either. I work in finance...and its not just a pick up line. Finance is a dirty business. You see things that make you question if all of humanity is the same species. There are those who purposefully prey on others inside and outside the company. But I guess sharks will turn on each other as well.

I quit my job as of Feb 1 this year, and I'll admit... it's definitely freed me up on pretty much every level (except having steady income). I know that if I was still doing a day job I wouldn't be able to handle any of the stuff I'm currently working on.

But that's the risk/rub/whatever you want to call it... a lot less money right now. I expect that will change at some point (hopefully soon), but until then...

Jobs... they're a pain.

make your creativity come to your day job. I've got a travel guitar in the car and have been getting away with listening to music... now, where did I put the portable studio?
