Well, I said I'd be pestering you with "watch my new video!" blogs...

Nick Drake Without The Suicide is now up on youtube.

I may get flamed by hardcore Nick Drake fans for taking the Lord's name in vain (Nick Drake, it is said by many, is God), but we'll see. In the meantime, I hope you like it.

Hope you're all having a nice weekend, unlike the poor sods like me who have to work. 8am-8pm Saturday and Sunday. Unfair.

He's a singer song-writer and all-round weird dude. His followers are also somewhat strange.

Ok, the bare facts:
Nick Drake was an English singer/songwriter. Broadly speaking, he made folk music, but he was totally original and, really, way ahead of his time. His albums - he released 3 between 1969 and 1972 - never sold in his lifetime. He suffered from crippling depression and died of an overdose of prescription drugs in 1974 aged 26.

Some people do say "Nick Drake is God", and to be honest, they have a point. I consider myself a reasonably decent musician, but I couldn't play like him if I practiced for 1000 years.
