The other week, the great Angie Fights Crime told us he did a solo acoustic gig for his dog. Well here's me playing something just for my neighbours. "That's very nice," I hear you say. "You invited them all round for tea and live music."

I did not. But I'm sure they heard every note through the walls.

I never intended to play this song live, but it seemed to be the one off my album that got the best reaction so I thought I should really make the effort. As it turned out, all I had to do was just play it suicidally fast (it's 25 seconds shorter now) and that seems to work pretty well. Well, I think it does...

I'll upload more of these at some point in the not-too-distant future. With regret I've had to discard the version of No Reply I recorded in the same session because the vocal was too quiet (O the hardship of having only 1 microphone!) But now I've got the hang of this (I hope) I'll be pestering you all with "watch my new video!" blogs.

It's 4am here. Should I go to bed, or have another glass of wine?

You can't imagine how disappointed I was to follow the link to the video and discover that it wasn't recorded in an actual Liverpool toilet.
