Checked out the venue

This evening, I set myself up with an avatar in Second Life, ready for the listening party...  And oh my, what an unpleasant place it is...

People are either psychopathic or awfully "friendly"...I left the tutorial area (where some dude with a sword was practically standing on top of me while I tried to work out what to do with my hair) and immediately met a bloke on a bridge who told me that he loved me.  In capitals.  I was just beginning to instant-message something back about it being awfully soon when I was whisked away by Erik Person (Monopoli).  The timing was great!

We danced in some alternative club for awhile (nice moves).  Then he got bored and left me trying to work out how to STOP dancing.

Hmmm...I doubt I'll be indulging again, but it was nice being a long-legged brunette for awhile.

A little on the stumpy side, Tess

I LOVE YOU, TOO! ;P I have never been to the Second Life page. I would hope someone would love me, if I went, but I'd probably only be stood upon. I'm not very tall. (^o^)

...I don't meet the minimum system requirements, for Second Life.

(No really, it's OK; I'm sure I'll get over it.)

The blog entry after mine explains it, ironically!

For me the listeningparty was a good occasion to sign up with Second Life and see what it's all about. I don't think I'll be spending a lot of time there though. I prefer real people to avaters I guess. And the lack of control over my own avater freaks me out (like with the dancing)
I will be going to the SL-listeningparty and hope a lot of other RPMers will too (you'll still be coming Eva/Tess?) Could be interesting.

Well, I looked at it and promptly noted that my stone-age dialup internet connection means I am unworthy of Second-Life citizenship, anyway. That same crap internet is what has kept me from listening to other people's streaming players on RPM and elsewhere. I'm always being left out because I is one o' them unlovable po' folk. *sulk, whine, pout* ;P

\(^o^)/ Woohoo! Hair ruffling!!

"Stone Age Kai" sounds like a good band name. It's appropriate, too, considering my age. hehehe
