Indeed, I've already started making steps towards another album. Today
I tracked 5 songs' drum parts and almost finished one entirely. Also, I
am now using (figured out how to use) FRUITYLOOPS so my drum parts will
not sound as bad, but they will still be electronic and I will have
full control over them (I used to just plug a keyboard through my amp
to make it crunchy, though not always, then into my hardware, then just
set the tempo and turn the damn thing on and push the 'drum fill'
button as necessary).
In any case, the fretless bass will be a lead instrument on many of the
songs and I'm kinda planning on heading the same general direction as
last time, with a smattering of punk songs, some noise songs, plenty of
accessible indie songs, a ukelele song or two and some surprises.
Since this one has no deadline, I'm going to take it easy, probably
finishing about one or two songs per week. So, It should be finished by
the summer. Plus, the workload from school has been piling up. Thus,
priorities, priorities.
I don't know what to call this new album yet. I figure that will come
to me when the time is right. Rough (emphasis on rough) skeletons of
about 10 songs are in the works and some of the stuff will be
carry-over from the RPM project that I just couldn't finish during
February. Rest assured, as soon as I finish something, it will be
available for download. Also, I think I should re-mix some of the songs
from the first album so that I could actually stand listening to some
of them (Stacks Of and Midnight Apocalypso's mix stand out as the worst
offenders) and put them on archive.org so that future generations of
mankind may hear them long after I've bitten the dust.
So on that upbeat note, be cool and don't let the bedbugs kill your shit, etc. Views: 460
