Cheesy Composer Seeks Cheesy Lyricist
Wednesday, 12 March 2008

I've got a little soft-rock song going (think Christopher Cross) with a great little melody and am wondering if any of you out there would either like to match up a lyric you may have abandoned in your project or start up a new one.  I could do a quick whip-up and demo the vocal melody with Dee Dee Dee's to help with the writing.

I can't get it out of my head, so the sooner somebody can help, the sooner my sanity will return.

I can be as 'business-like' as you would like, but prefer a simple gentleman's agreement splitting composing and lyricist credits 50-50.

Message me here or email tangmo_boo (at) hotmail.

This is not my usual method of writing...usually I START with at least a line or two of lyric/melody.  This one just kinda happened.  I won't garuntee acceptance...I serve the song...but I would like to get it written.

Is that enough?  Let the groans begn.

Kai will get first crack.

Love to see what you have, ER.

Sister...no, absolutely not. Cheese is not a social food.

Well...come to think of it, it IS...so yes, of course you'll be able to hear it when it's done. Whether you will want to or not is a question without answer.

this is not a bad idea at all, as i have many lyrics that ive either decided are too cheesy, or dont necessarily go along with what im looking to do at the moment. if i dont respond to you this evening, shoot me a message and ill whip something up for you!

Christopher Cross was a singer/songwriter/ Late 70's, early 80's? Hell if I know. Wrote very melodic soft-rock/light pop/singer songwriter stuff without much edge at all. Pretty music. Made James Taylor look like Johnny Rotten. So completely out of style, I feel compelled to attempt emulation.
