I'm not happy with myself this year. I'm suddenly remembering all my pre-February ideas and wondering what on earth my cd was all about... :-/

In other news, I am putting out feelers for guitar lessons, and this is a huge positive step. Can't wait for February!

Record a song based on every lesson. Don't wait til you can 'play'. I think the Beatles did this. Some of their early tunes have melodies based on cscales and I get the impression they just took waht they learned and made it into something.

It's all about the practice you put in. The more you practice the easier moving from one chord to the next gets. Your fingers go on automatic and you can concentrate on adding inflections and thinking progressions.

I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, but it's really true. And if you don't put the time in between lessons you get discouraged. So practice up.

The other night I sat on my couch with my SG and a book called the Guitar Chord Bible. It was a lot of fun... I now have some new ideas...Now, do I record them, or sit on them until Feb '09??? Yeah, I don't think I can wait...
