First, we're much obliged to our producer. Last night wasn't exactly what you'd call Beau's best night; cain't rightly say if he was feelin' a might pressured or if it was just an unmotivated night fer him. Either way, we done got all his drum tracks down an' they're a-soundin' wonderful...thanks in great part to our fine producer gal's understandin' of Beau's psychology. No matter what his circumstances, they key to his motivation is that he's a man of good taste. That's to say, if it tastes good, you can motivate him with it. I was a might skeptical when she ran to the health food store fer vittles to make last night into a "work party" fer the lot of us, but the blackberry juice was flowin', that thar noodle salad was heaped onto plates a mile high, an' if that hadn' been enough, she done won Beau over completely with a wedge o' sage cheese. The look on his face was beatific. "It come all the way from England, Polecat!" Perked him up plenty. Had them thar tracks recorded just fine by the end o' the night.
To tell the depressin' truth, though, we just hain't got enough time ner energy to learn the recordin' software an' use it to make the rest of the album in the next eleven days, so we're a-firin' up ol' Bessie one more time. On the upside, this here means we don't have to wait fer nothin' much more before we can record the rest o' the tracks - jest have to decide what's a-goin' first, an' do it.
Well, we's already off to a very late start tonight. I'm a-gonna go join our producer an' the boys again an' see what's on tonight's agenda.
