Thursday night, after a long week of work and recording, my IBook crashed as I was trying to replay a song almost finalized.  The phone rang, I talked, then when I got back to the computer, it was seized, frozen.  The Techs at MacEdge said I probably filled up the hard drive, that my IBook wasn't really the machine to be running Garage Band on.  Seems odd to me.  The thing came with Garage Band.  Luckily, I will have a Mac Book to use in just a few days, a loaner for the remainder of the month.  Hopefully I haven't lost any of the songs I've already recorded and can import them into the Mac Book.  Then it'll be crazy catch up time.  The crash will have cost me a week, 1/4 of the month of February.  I'm trying to use this forced stall to get some exercise, eat, spend time with my girlfriend, sleep, and write more music.  I bet this kind of shit happens all the time.  

    In the long run, I'm hoping to find a late model I Mac Pro to use for recording.  Garage Band is all I know and for now I'll stick with it until I can learn about what else is out there.   That's the news thats shit to print, JB
