From the latest blogs side bar: "Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends"...ah, SOMEONE remembers ELP. I took two days off from putting the CD together last week: Valentines' Day and the day afterward, obviously. On VDay, we went to a famous restaurant in our town, just to see if we could wing getting in without a reservation. Wouldn't you know it, the moment we stepped to the Maitre (sp) d's desk, someone had called up to cancel theirs. SWEET! Place was noisy - hardly conducive to a romantic evening out - but it was fun anyway. Then Friday we went to a new Vietnemese restaurant in our hood. They served pho. The Pho outfits have been opening up left and right here in Truckee Meadows, but this place was, hands down, the best. Great atmosphere, great food. Yum! Got back into the swing of things Saturday morning. I tried my hand at dance, this time. I'll admit that this track took only about 3 hours to put together. It's the sort of thing that pisses people off about techno. But I promise, I put a lot of thought into it! :) Anyway, here's the track. Hope ya likes: Download Lyrics The song is about the former junkies I used to know back in San Francisco, during the late '80's and early '90's. Vocally, I tried to convey the feelings of a strung out drug addict. I'm afraid I might have come off sounding a little too happy (that, and my midrange has crept back into my singing again. UGH!). Thoughts? Also, I saw something this morning on the RPM Challenge website that rather interested me. I saw earlier in the list of artists currently online a guy called Damage_Damage-Control. He's a returning artist for the 2008 challenge, but here's the wierd part. Two years ago, I wrote a song called Damage Control. In fact, it's still up on my music blog , if you'd care to listen (though I have to warn you, the vocals are embarrassingly heavy handed; I'll need to redo them at some point, to neutralize some of the "drama"). So, today, I find this guy, and, I'll be damned! I have four connections to him! If you wish to hang with him as well, here's his page. Enjoy! :) Views: 529
