I think this one's the best so far. 

Inspired by the passage of time, which all us RPM'ers can relate to.  

I just had my 49th birthday a few days ago, and my daughter gave me a card with a picture of a man driving a car and in the rear view mirror, in the distance, was the Grim Reaper.  The punchline, of course, was "objects in the mirror are closer than they appear".  That girl sure knows how to cheer me up.  

So with all that, and lyrical contribution from a couple of friends:

"Westward"

Westbound flies the rest of our days

Time flown or dragged the rest of the way

The insolent indifference, space and gravity

Can't break it's course or make it stay 

And I'm just sitting here watching the cells divide

The clock keeps ticking as it melts

The sun goes around again...and again

Westward moves the rest of our day

Time strapped to it's side like a gunslinger's survival guide

(inst.)

When the future ain't bright

And the past is a distant memory

And the present tense is just a warm wet kiss

At the end of the day your all alone

A tired old body for a home

So if you've got dreams or wishes

You better get busy and make them real

Right now
