I must say I'm pleased with the progress I've been making on the new CD.  I have like five or six finished, with another four to six in the thinking and planning stages.  One big change from last year:  taking decongestants.  I have had a lifelong problem of draining sinuses, and it has made my speaking and singing voices at times extremely hard to hear.  When I get an infection I am told I sound a bit like Kermit the Frog.  I hate it.  Hi Ho my a**!  This year with the weather being warm one day and cold the next, I've kept taking my hay fever meds, and found one that works that has a decongestant added.  Makes for a much clearer voice, and helps my efforts in songwriting considerably.

For those of you who heard my songs from last year, I am trying to continue the habit of using the accoustic guitar as the main instrument in my songs.  While I do use electric guitars in some compositions, I think my voice sounds best when I use an accoustic.  I just don't seem to have the "rocker's" voice, so I'm making use of what talent I might have.

A couple of songs are written with a blues-slide instrument base, and I think they came out well, so I'm including them in the CD.  Once I get around to posting some things on the sample engine here, I'd love to hear some comments.

Anyway, I hope all of your projects are going well, and you're as pleased with your work as I am.  I'm not near done with this, but so far so good.
