Friday night started off kind of awkwardly, but things turned around..

I have this 'everything but the kitchen sink' instrumental that didn't seem to be going anywhere. As I tried to expand it, the various generators and effects began to malfunction, so I didn't make much progress. (Unless something magical happens, it's probably going to be a brief filler piece.)

I had better luck with another song though - one of the generic instrumentals now has a name [Icarus], and is no longer an instrumental. I added some lyrics to it.

It's funny - the vocals and the lyrics are coming to me very easily this year, but I'm actually having trouble with the background instrumentation. It's weird, because it usually flows the other way - in fact, I rarely if ever even tried to create lyrics in the past.
