Thank you all for the friendship you have shown during the past year, and for the great music, and for the fun.  It's been great to connect with so many people, and read the blogs, and cry and laugh with all of you.  I am sincerely looking forward to more of the same for 08.

My kids used to say "happy ho ho."  A friend at my new job said he refuses to say "happy holidays" because it sounds false.  I used to work in a large retail store that played Christmas music beginning in mid-November.  And I used to get sick of it by Thanksgiving.  And violently ill by the time Christmas actually came around.  But times change, and I have changed.  My favorite Christmas carol is Silent Night (because I can sing the easy bass part and make the sound rich and full).  I'm the one saying "happy ho ho" around the house.  And my youngest daughter is singing convoluted verses of Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer (nothing perverse, she's only 11).  And I laugh when she mixes up the verses.

Music and friendship have made me a better person.  And I have all of you to thank.
