I would first like to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the past two months. This entire challenge has invigorated my music, brought me a host of new friends, and recharged my muse. I find myself listening to new (to me) music every day, and loving most of what I hear. To the folks who put on this challenge, a huge THANK YOU for putting up with all of us, and I hope some of the comments weren't too harsh, and were taken with the proverbial grain of salt. Most of the negative comments were born of frustration, not from any real anger.
Secondly, to those who's songs are on the jukebox, I'm listening and loving it. While my workplace is blocking some of the sites mentioned in previous blog entries, rest assured that I will download and/or visit from one first chance I get.
Thirdly, to those who have given me feedback on my music, another huge THANK YOU for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the music. I have certainly enjoyed much of what I have heard.
Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the effort it took to put the albums together. It's too easy to listen to a song and think "that sounds nice" and dismiss it moments later. I know how much effort it takes to put down music, and to coordinate with others, and set aside time, and placate my wife, and tell my kids to go play outside for awhile (But daddy it's dark out and 20 degrees! So put on a coat and take a flashlight!). I guess that's why I like baseball because I know how hard it is to hit a breaking pitch. To everyone who completed the challenge and sent it their CD, GREAT RESPECT.
PS - To those with whom I have traded CDs, you have expanded my musical mind greatly, and I thank you from the bottom of my cerebellum.
Regards to all.
