Well, as I listed the finished work in my car, the songs were very inconsistent in volume and clarity. I have already mailed in my entry, but I missed something. I didn't use Dither on the final mixes and the vocal and guitar suffered substantionally. I recorded in 24 bit. The loops were already in 16 bit. I remixed the tracks with Dither enabled and it made world of difference. It sound more like an album and less like a demo. I had time to resend the entry, but the burner is down. I thrown away 12 CD's trying to redo and resend.

The world won't here it the way it was meant to heard. Sigh.

I have the same feeling about my final mix, sort of uneven. The good thing is that nobody will know the difference, they haven't heard it any other way, and they'll think your CD sounds great.
...I know that's a small consolation when you know how it should truly sound.

No need to worry, I couldn't even figure out how to work the mixer on my software, so I just bounced it down outomatically to two stereo tracks and went with the raw unmixed sound. The imporatant thing really with the RPM Challenge is that music otherwise unknown is now out for public consumption...and the musicians glean more knowledge about thier abilities to actually make music...great stuff!
