| This is the 17th song I've demoed since RPM 08. I've had quite a productive year (10 songs in February, 17 since then). I'm going to put 11 or 12 on my new album which I start recording tomorrow - my bass is back in action - and that leaves me with a head start of at least 5 for RPM 09. Last year I wrote all the songs in February and to be honest there was a lot of filler there because of it. I'm determined to improve next year, and pre-writing some of the songs will be a big help. Anyway, the latest song is about how I'm planning on leaving the country (UK) as soon as I can to get away from the increasingly draconian laws that seem to be being passed at the moment. Hear it on my profile as usual - Honeycomb The Oncoming
Who watches the watchmen Crowded in their bunker just beneath Cameras trained on every individual The fear of movement constrains the feet
The young woman outsider Hiding in her bedsit all alone Was reminded of the past she left behind her by the Mysterious clicking on the telephone
(Chorus) Fly, flee the oncoming Fly
Eyes evolved from the purpose of seeing Become our main identity The extradition of habeas corpus No longer means they need to be discrete
Beware the ones who cherry-picked the legislation to approve Escape the forthcoming trap as there's no option to refuse Views: 895
