Two New Demos

The first is a straight up rock song called Walking Disgrace. I was bullied mercilessly at school (mostly because my best friend came out as gay and I refused to disown him like many others did) and this song is about how most of those who did the bullying are now in dead end jobs and I'm happy in my life and relatively successful in my chosen career.

The second song is called Gaia (no relation to Mick's song) and started out as an attempt at a Massive Attack style song, though it ended up sounding more like something off The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas. It'll probably be the album opener or closer, not decided yet.

The new album is getting closer to being written and Logic Studio is in the post as we speak so I can do a more professional job on the production.

I like Gaia, but then I'm partial to the spacey rock stuff. Anyone ever told you your voice sounds like Robert Wyatt?

Robert Wyatt, hmm? I guess I have the right range, but I'm certainly not as good as him.

I went through some bullying, especially in 6th grade. The school I attended had pupils from a home for troubled boys, and they decided to trouble me. I would bet money that many of those troubled boys ended up in jail, or dead, or in the kind of situation you mentioned. So I understand your motivation and inspiration.
I applaud your decision to stick by your friend. Not many people would have done that. I'll bet it was hard, and, in a way, rewarding. You now know you can be a true friend. And you can weather what must have been very difficult times. It probably gives you a kind of inner self confidence and strength of character you might not know you have.
