| I haven't written anything for public consumption in a while, so I thought I'd bring you all up to date on what's going on in my life.
On the job front, this week I should transition from being a temp to being a permanent employee. My boss has told me all the paperwork is approved, and she's waiting for the official blessing of the company CEO, who apparently has to approve all new hires. Looking forward to health insurance (Helen, read the note I left for you), and a more permant feel to my work status.
On the musical front, I have discovered some new loops and samples, and have put together two or three new songs. My muse and I have been working together lately, which is a change from when she would act like a spoiled child and demand my attention at the most inopportune moments. It's a nice change.
My oldest daughter has made arrangements to finish her schooling, including finally moving out to live on her own. She's 26 and it's about doggone time. The house is cluttered enough with five adults and one teenager living under one roof. Hers is the most clutter, so it will be nice to have a bit less mess about the place.
I have received a number of new CD's, and I'm loving all the excellent music. Right now I'm listening to Bryan Litchfield, and loving the meloncholy songs. Other goodies include Gary Fox, Colin Garvey, Karl Andriuk, the Substars, Rose Asunder, Cville Ramblings, Broken Promise Keeper, Elissa Margolin, and Clare's Club. Osbourne and Hutchinson have some good tunes, too. I still have one or two copies of my CD for this year, and can easily make more. Anyone else interested in a trade? Send me a message and I'd be happy to swap.
Hope you all are doing well, and you're making more great music.
Kindest regards.
