Old Songs!
(Wednesday, 23 April 2008) Written by Strummindude

I'm putting my old band together again. To me, that's a pretty big deal. We haven't been playing together for eight years, but now we're in touch again, and working on new material, via the internet so far, but we're set to have sessions including the whole band.

To celebrate this fact, I've put a couple of our previous recordings on my personal website, at strummindude.com

Since you are among my most valued and prescious peers, I bid you a warm welcome to have a listen to these recordings, and, as would be my most devoted wish, to offer your own views on your personal likes and dislikes about these soundbytes. Please keep in mind that this stuff was recorded somewhere in the span of 1995-2000.

Cheers!
S. Dude

That sounds like lots of fun!! Though, come to think of it, I would not want to get any of my old bands back together. Some of us nearly killed each other, as it was. It could only be worse, now that we're all crotchety old men. ;P

Is country pretty popular in Sweden? If so, that's pretty cool. I listen to all the songs -- all pretty well done (how come I'm not surprised)

I Could Do That has fine vocals and instrumentation (cool piano break). Pretty good country/pop piece.

In Another Time has a great feel to it. Good vocals, a couple of times a little TOO Eagles-like, but good singing is good singing! Dobro and mandolin, too -- pretty cool.

Still Got Thunder definitely more rockish, but with a little twinge of country, pretty funny. Lot's of nice clips of lyrics from other songs.

Nice variety of sounds -- good luck with the re-gathering.

Good stuff. Yawl could put some of the country bands in these parts to shame!
