Damn, the switch on my Strat just stopped selecting one of the pick-ups. I suspect there's a loose wire or bad contact in there somewhere. Oh well, I'm going to have to open her up and perform open heart surgery. I don't know what I'm going to find in there, I haven't been under the hood for over 10 years. There's probably mice nesting in there or something...

Long ago found an old Mako TB-1 with the pick guard off at a garage sale. Rewired it and she's a beauty. Neat little Strat-o-like in shape but only has one humbucker down near the bridge. EASY to play and soon became a favorite of mine.

I'm sure your strat is one that you want to keep in classic shape, but just in case you're like me... I find that things like this are "opportunities" to do some upgrade or other. Just a thought. :)
