600 blank CD's
(Saturday, 01 March 2008) Written by Lux Divon

So I went for it,

i figured, what the hell.  why not. you only live once right?

I plan to burn all 600, hand autograph them :) put them in my own custom sleeve, and attempt to get $1 , and let them listen to it first.  I should really take at least a 25 cents since that's what it costed me.  Even if I can get $1 for half, i'll be happy. Got them off Meritline.com so i'm crossing my fingers they work out.  :)

Sadly they won't be here for SXSW, i imagine its for some universal reason i'll find out 10 years from now.   I waited, and only felt sure to order yesterday.

I wish that postage wasn't so much, otherwise i'd gladly send them free all over the US. that adds on another 41 cents.  So I'd have to charge those people 1.50, and with my luck they'd use paypal with a credit card and i'd get about .50 cents.  :)) LOL

Regardless of it all,

I was happy enough with our RPM album that i would even Consider burning 600 cds.  its got to be a step in the right direction right?

P.S. I got info from discmakers today, that seem like they have a pretty sweet distrubution pakage if you want itunes, and all that.  If you want the most back for you own work, check out earbuzz.com   They give you 100% on all sales a one time upload fee of i think 25$ and a $2 month membership fee.

"there's only one way this is ever going to work.  And that's if I give everything I possibly can away. Fuck the fancy digipacks and screen printed covers, fake shit, that just gets thrown away like any other artist from any other day.  They're going to steal it from me anyway, if they like it.  I might as well play their game, and ask them for something they might think a musician is actually worth.  As of right now, i think that might be $1.  If that's the truth, then that's what I have to work with"
