| Just uploaded two new demos that are definitely going to be on the CD.
The first is called I Don't Love You, and was written just after I returned home after an extended absence. One night I was lying in bed, feeling all warm in the dark, and looked at my wife. She was asleep, so she didn't know I was looking. I thought what a dolt I was for not loving her more, or better, or at least more demonstratively, and the lyrics appeared in my head. I got up, went downstairs, and wrote them down. The next evening I wrote the music. Listen to it and let me know what you think.
The second is called Talladega. I wrote this one after a badly timed snowstorm turned my twenty minute commute into three hours. During that time I nearly ran out of gas, nearly had an accident (three times!), and nearly peed my pants because of all the coffee I'd drunk during the day at work. Thankfully I got to the gas station, and the men's room, in time. And I got my dinner three hours late. While I was eating, I saw a promo bit for a NASCAR race, and started grousing about how bad my drive had been. And, again, this song started to appear in my head. I managed to get it written that evening.
Thank you for stopping by to listen. I've been trying to return the favor by listening to music at work and at home, but I have a lot less time this year than I had last year. I'll do my best.
Regards.
