Only the weirdos know the woes of the weirdos
(Saturday, 16 February 2008) Written by The Mountain Weirdo Singers
It's a funny thing about bein' a Mountain Weirdo.  Seems like y'have problems sometimes that city folk couldn't hardly dream of...an' if they did, they'd prolly go to the doctor first thing in the mornin' an' git some kind o' medication fer it.  I won't trouble y'all with the strange a-goin's on that done plagued the band the past couple days.  I'll jest go right on into our agenda fer today.  We got to record the followin' songs...
  • Job's Lament
  • I Won't Tell You
  • Meh
  • Mountain Weirdo Woman
  • Mountain Weirdo Theme

I reckon today we ought to focus on Beau's drummin' tracks, an' recordin' with this here computer.  First off, Beau's a good man, a fine percussionist, an' a janitor that cain't be beat nohow, but he's got to be nudged a might before he'll let his creativity out; he hain't a-feelin' too inclined these days so he said to just tell him what we want him to play an' he'll do it.  Well, much as Beau hain't been the same since his experiences bein' snowed in durin' the big blizzard, he still knows his drums like none of us other Weirdos possibly could.  Sometimes the boys git a might impatient with Beau an' his idiosyncrasies, an' they start askin' me why he done burned all that bad lard fer heat, 'cause he must'a knowed the fumes weren't doin' him no good...well, I'm gettin' a might off topic.  Point is, fer any noxious smoke inhalation he might'a suffered in the big blizzard o' '78, an' fer any intermittent screamin' he's prone to, we got to respect his skills, an' the impatient ones are humbled real good when they try an' put themselves in the place of a fine drummer like Beau an' make the most of his abilities.

An' then, figurin' out the recordin' software on this dagblasted computer.  If we don't do it soon we'll just have to fire up ol' Bessie again an move along the ol'-fashioned way this time around.  Either way, we fully intend to have a nice record sent in come February 29.

Yeehaw!
