Well, I haven't recorded in four days, but today gonna dive back into it. Spent some time yesterday writing(!), with help from a few other sources who've agreed to let me use their words.  Developed a chord progression I had recorded in the audio notebook for just this purpose. 

As the first full week draws to a close, I'm reminded of something a friend said to me when I started this: 

You can have it fast, cheap and or good- now pick any two.

It is amazing how any combination obviously seems to forfiet the one factor remaining. 

I've already bought the Macbook, so fast and good will have to do.
