hi guys
(Saturday, 09 February 2008) Written by angie fights crime
update on the drums, i spent 2.5 hours attempting to play along with my click tracks, i would say a good 70% went very well, but the other 30% was between horrid and shitbiscuit.  i knew it would be tough, but it's over, i'm not going try tomorrow.  i'll see what the files sound like when i get them home tomorrow, hopefully not too bad.  it was a giant hall with loads of natural reverb, i had 2 overheads, bass, snare and one room mike about 10 feet in front.  i got a LOT of the room, i mean, tons.  i won't be able to isolate too much, but i like that Talk Talk open drum sound, i guess i'll see.  if this attempt at live drums fails it's back to the sample drum parts.  i'm just really anxious to start tracking and get these songs finished.  they still sound great in my head, i want you to hear that.
