DADGUM NEWFANGLED GADGITS!
(Saturday, 02 February 2008) Written by The Mountain Weirdo Singers

I reckon this has been one of the gullderned most demoralizin' days ever visited upon the Mountain Weirdo Singers.

After spendin' more money than I done spent on my first pickup truck tryin' to upgrade to the current standard in recordin' software, we still cain't run the dadgum program.  A call done been made to somebody who should be able to help us...young whippersnapper what specializes in this here type of problem.

If that wasn't the huntin' dog's fleas, we was tryin' to update y'all a few minutes ago an' this here machine done ate all our progress.

Thank the man upstairs, though, we was smart.  We knew there might be problems like this, so we got us a producer.  Real smart city-girl what done completed this here challenge last year.  She saw us gettin' downhearted an' sat us down an' made a plan.  She says we prolly already done about 3-5 days' work ahead of time by havin' some songs written already.  We still have a lot to do, but she says we ought to spend the rest of our time this evenin' workin' on either more writin' or some rehearsal time, an' I reckon she's right.

We'll treat y'all like the good neighbors you are and let you know more about our progress soon.

Regards,

Arnie "Polecat" McJunkman

you're bound to have problems if you try and tune to DADGUM
that's nearly as hard as trying to tune a twelve string to DADGNABBIT

How much was your first pickup truck? My first vehicle cost more than I can afford to spend on Music software. ANd when I say afford, I mean a ford.
LOL

Good chewin' Y'all.

Y'all are a real hoot!

Actually I'm kind of an ol' feller. Shucks, you cain't even git a good mule anymore for what I paid for the pickup way back when. It was a Ford too. Sweetest thing with a tailgate, she was...anyway, you're a-gonna git me all choked up. Sentimental ol' fool I am...

Thanks fer checkin' in, Gumbo! Best o' luck, an' come on back real soon, hear?
