Today I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled. The oral surgeon seems to have done a good job. I have some swelling but not much pain yet. I was given an IV that made my face feel tingly and hot, then they were waking me up. It went that quick. I took the day off from work and I'll spend the day goofing off and milking this for all the sympathy I can get. Around here, that's not going to be much.
As for Michael Jackson, I liked his music but hated some aspects of his personal life. I know fame does some terrible things to you, and if you're not a strong person you can get pulled through the wringer pretty badly. Michael spent a lot of his life in the spotlight, and I'm sure the affects caused him to be an unconvicted pedofile. Perhaps he found his musical talent in the pain of his childhood, and in the seclusion of his later life. God only knows.
One thing - people are glossing over the death of Farrah Fawcett. While many dismissed her as just another pretty face, I think she showed some courage and grit during her battle with cancer. I didn't see the documentary, but I know it took courage to make such a film. I admire her courage more than Michael Jackson's personal habits.
Hope everyone is having a good summer. I'm already looking forward to RPM2010.
Kind regards.
