So I went for it, i figured, what the hell. why not. you only live once right? I plan to burn all 600, hand autograph them :) put them in my own custom sleeve, and attempt to get $1 , and let them listen to it first. I should really take at least a 25 cents since that's what it costed me. Even if I can get $1 for half, i'll be happy. The best music decision i've ever made has been to complete this challege. Thanks! RPM. I don't know what i expected, but what has come out of it, is more beautiful than anything i've ever done before. I can listen to my album all the way through, and actually want to hear it some more. That's the first time i've EVER been able to say that. that alone, is worth more money than any contest or person could give me. the album is sealed and ready to go to the post office tommorow :) ... hour # 14 of work. mixing and mastering. i want to just get it in the mail, so i can take a day off, and actually be excited about it again. and i'm not even doing the actual mixing and mastering. just giving advice here and there. i've got the easy job. and i'm still exhausted. its a wonder anyone can stand their own music after its all said and done. i feel the mark of any great song is the ability to listen to it 10 times, and still not have enough. i'm not sure i'm there, but i think... so i think i've 'crashed' on two different levels. I took off work thursday to finish the album, song #8, stayed up till 3 am, and then by the next morning was sick to my stomach. that was my physical crash, in which i slept 24 hours almost straight(except 10 min snack breaks every 8 hours or so). We had done alot of work, but that's crazy. Now, tonight, even though i should be working on the album art, i think my emotional crash is happening. This album has been pretty much my entire exis... So as of our tally, we have 7 songs, at least 5 of them are almost finished. we realized we need one more. It was 6 am not long before the sun came up that we went to sleep. We hadn't seen the clock since midnight. This is a crazy challenge. It is the first full joint album me and my band mate have written.
