I finally did it, after some serious deliberation, compromising between composition, sound quality, and "not worth including because a dozen other people will probably nominate it anyway".
1) Breakfast Song - Ten 2) Sister Savage - Remedy 3) Flipping The Pig - Let A Moment Pass 4) Night Driving - Watch It Go 5) Exit/Exit - Drive Over Glass

You did. I just pulled my head of my ass and fixed it. Angie Fights Crime was missing to... so everybody give a listen to those 3 and edit your post if you want to change.
Sorry, Matt and Brent.

Sounds like a cache problem. Maybe shift-reload or whatever tells your browse to "really go get it". Send me a PM if that doesn't work Raleigh.

Re:08 Disk #2 - Voting - 2008/05/28 20:28Okay - Wendy picked the ones listed in our vote...
... but since there's two of us, may I add just one extra to our vote?
If so:
Blue Apple Yokohama - Spring Fever
I absolutely friggin' love that track.

Re:08 Disk #2 - Voting - 2008/05/29 07:45Hello all. I'm so honored to be nominated in here. Some really great music.
I've sent a couple newer versions of both of my tracks over to Mick, just in case he has the time to pop them on the player. I've been busy with a new job and a new move, so I apologize for not being on here or participating too much!
Hopefully you like the new versions. They're worlds better, especially the end of "the looking back."
Thanks again, all.

Re:08 Disk #2 - Voting - 2008/05/29 11:31(It might be a good idea for an artist with more than one nominated song in a category to at least actively endorse one of them. I would hate to see anyone not get on to the compilation because the voting was split between songs.
I said might. You may disagree.)
Irrelevant post, sorry. (see below)

Re:08 Disk #2 - Voting - 2008/05/29 15:55All votes for an artist count. So if Tess gets 10 votes among her 3 songs then she gets 10 votes and her highest voted song would be the one. If there is a tie between songs, last year we let then artist pick.
SO vote away and don't worry about spreading votes over your songs.

Blue Apple Yokohama - Spring Fever Honeycomb - behind the moon Gary Fox - Find a Lover Sister Savage - Stick around for Joy Its a king thing - Old Hobbies
I was nominated for this catergory, but it was a song from last year so I am actually releived it was dropped off the list. Maybe its just me, but am I the last guitarist that doesn't own an acoustic? I felt so alone...a bunch of good songs nonetheless.
Sister Savage, I mean like...damn. Save some for the rest of us Remarkable collection of work...like all your nominations.

Re:08 Disk #2 - Voting - 2008/05/29 20:06Dear God, this is tough. I've had to not vote for a lot of great songs (including my own).
OK, here we go. In no particular order:
Night Driving - Watch It Go Peter Fedofsky - Dumb Angel Sister Savage - Remedy AM/FM Dreams - Heart Full Of Holes Angie Fights Crime - Now

Re:08 Disk #2 - Voting - 2008/05/30 02:11Leaving out a bunch of my favorite songs that I think are in anyway, and concentrating on songs I liked that have few or no votes, I ended up with this list:
Grizzly Bear Railroad - Sunshine It's A King Thing - Old Hobbies Substars - Sulk Blue Apple Yokohama - Spring Fever Exit/Exit - Drive Over Glass

Re:08 Disk #2 - Voting - 2008/05/30 06:15OK.. whew! there's a bunch of good music in there, talent and inspiration a-plenty. I can only pick just five by telling myself that a lot of this music needs to be on other compilation disk categories. Punk/New wave? Dance/Electronica? Of course, I already see that folks with listening preferences that tend toward those styles are picking the songs that I would (if there was room on my list), so good chance that they'll be voted in...
(here in no particular order)
Flipping the Pig Gary Fox Night Driving - watch it Go Peter Fedofsky Sister Savage - stick around for Joy
Bravo, everyone!

Re:08 Disk #2 - Voting - 2008/06/02 02:32I agree a bunch of these songs don't quite fit what comes to my mind, anyway, when I think of "alt" or "indie" music, much less "pop." so Gary, "Find a Lover" must be on the Rock and Roll compilation as that song RAWKS.
but if I had to pick just five, here goes:
1. Substars - Sulk in the City 2. Peter Fedofsky - Dumb Angel 3. It's a King Thing - Old Hobbies 4. Neruottica - Sometimes 5. Hussalonia - Apologies Implied

Well, thanks for the kind words. And Tess...well, what can I say?
I would agree that Find A Lover is far more rock than alt/indie, so if it makes it, include it there. I don't want to bump anyone.
Cheers
Gary
By the way Broken Promise Keeper (Rob), been liking your disc (brought it to Las Vegas and have it in rotation on my Zune). Did you get what I sent you?
Let me know via PM. I assume yes, but please confirm.
