No bites whatsoever. No if we were the local gun club or duelists association they'd probably be all over it. But I was disappointed in KERA.
I've tried to work with KERA before on other projects. I found them to be strangely unapproachable. However, that does not apply to all markets of public broadcast. Some of the smaller markets were quite friendly. Just thought it odd that public broadcast was not very public accessible in major markets like Dallas.
One thing I did learn is that most major markets don't create much of thier own content. There is a major studio in Boston and that where all of the news programs are created. Other large studios create content in bulk to distribute. It may be a matter of finding the best point of entry.

They don't know what they're missing in not interviewing you. They'd find out that you can't do this challenge without a screaming baby attached to your side ...
So have you started growing your helper for next year? Or are you going to rent this time?
Well if I have, a certain consultant surgeon will have some explaining to do!

That would have been "yesterday", as future people say, and it was me launching degenre, where I'm reviewing every album I own alongside essays about ideas and ideals in music written by anyone who wishes to submit them.
I was assuming that my re-ignition of the "genre" thread (where I announced this yesterday) would ruffle some feathers, but perhaps the people who karma-bombed me before have moved on to greener pastures now.
Anyhoo... I just posted today's album review, and the site will be growing over the next few months. I have some plans for it.

Re:Genre/Schmenre - 2008/05/03 04:47Wow, great idea, Josh -- very ambitious. Love that shade of green too.
It's funny one of those first five albums was the rather obscure "Star" by Belly. I've loved Feed the Tree since the early 90s (managed to snag the mp3 on Napster in 2000), but just recently got the CD on LaLa.com.
I've found it to be an excellent late-night listen, although the lyrics all seem to be flow-of-consciousness nonsense.
I haven't read your review yet, Josh, I wanted to write this first. Can't wait to see if we agree.

Ha! I was worried at first you weren't going to see my comment ...
So you're saying you'll be renting your assistant next year, then ...

Ha ha! Maybe I can strike a 2 for the price of 1 deal with the vetting agency, since it's actually my 15 yo daughter who's the major label deal-touting star of the family...

Re:NPR Update - 2008/05/05 15:17Well, of course she's a beauty, I made her!!
(Thankfully, though, she got her looks from her mum. But that's all. OK, OK, so her brains also. And her social skills. But other than that, it's all me.)
