Re:08 Disk #2 - Alt/Indie/Pop - 2008/04/19 23:29 Here's where the damned categories fall apart:

Blue Apple Yokohama - Spring Fever

It's just piano and vocal - so is that pop?

Anyway, we don't care where you place her - Blue Apple Yokohama's disc needs to be represented somewhere on these disks. It's just that good.

Re:08 Disk #2 - Alt/Indie/Pop - 2008/04/22 01:36 I second that. Really any Hussalonia is good.
Anything by Peter Fedofsky,
The BiPolar Bears - Love Can't Conquer All

And I'm gonna recommend myself:
Zanois - Tranquility Base, Turkey In The Space, or anything off of my album really. I don't mind.

EDIT: One more nomination - Justice Rules! - "12:03 A.M. - Birthdays Are Never As Good As The Day Before"

Yes, you're right. I only just noticed that Sister Savage is not nominated. A glaring omission IMO. I'd add "Hairpin" to the Sister Savage nominations.

'Premonition' is tricky - I wrote and recorded most of it before February and posted it on my demo player, intending to record a better version for the challenge (the synth part at the end is especially shoddy). Sadly I lost the original guitar file and couldn't re-do it (which is when Mick let me have some of his wonderful music so I could come up with a replacement at the last minute). I put the demo version on the end of my cd because people seemed to like it more than EVERYTHING ELSE on there (which is why my cd has 11 songs instead of the requisite 10), but think it would be deeply unfair not to come clean.

Am absolutely overwhelmed by the nominations though. *cries*
