Re:RPM HQ listening party!! - 2008/03/29 08:51 We were a small but fun group in DFW. Jammed awhile on the didjs, resonater, bones, and jaw harp. Recorded it.

We laughed as we listen to Moschell's "6 2 Fill Blues" and said we all wished we had written it. We thumped to Gaia and soared with Climbin'. We felt funky with Baby's First Ride, and let Brantley hit the bass.

Great friends, great party, great time.

Re:RPM HQ listening party!! - 2008/03/29 15:45 Thanks to Mochalux in Arlington, Texas for providing a fine venue. It was great to meet Mick, Lyndell, Brantley, Ben and your loved ones (my memory fades already...)

Re:RPM HQ listening party!! - 2008/03/29 18:03 Thanks for playing my tune down there. Glad it was good for a laugh. Wish I could have gone to a listening party, but I had to satisfy myself with the online version. Had a fun time doing that.

So, who is who in the picture?

Re:RPM HQ listening party!! - 2008/03/29 18:41 Did you have to break up a fight between the clique guy and the VUA guy? Or did they just peace out with the music?

Re:RPM HQ listening party!! - 2008/03/29 19:19 Hahaha! Yeah, they totally duked it out. I think VUA won though.

You were there too! Bet you didn't know that! Your track got played.

I won't try to convey Mosfet's level of intoxication either, since I get a buzz just thinking about.

It was great seeing so many of you last night. I think I got in around 3am, I think.

Cheers,

Gary

Re:RPM HQ listening party!! - 2008/03/30 02:55 Well that's a load of bull-honkey. The VUA guy is a putz and he got a real licking. Look, you can see he's terrified in the picture. I, on the other hand, am merely freaking out over the VUA rubber ducky. I mean, wouldn't you?

Re:RPM HQ listening party!! - 2008/08/01 09:17 Vintage. I was looking at the picture and remembering our little gathering...wondering why it was just a little gathering. I know we have more people in our area than 5. We'll have to organize a kidnapping next time and see if we can get the count up to 10.

It was a good week, that one. I was brought out of relative obscurity and a few folks got hear what I was about. A good week indeed.
