Re:Male Vocals Needed - Not Necessairly Good Ones - 2008/02/05 17:10 Right here.
I made two different files. One has the vocal cues counting down to the pitch change. THese files are the -cue files. The others don't have the vocal cues and you'll just have to learn the song (not easy).

You goal once you're over the initial outburst of laughter at my singing.
1) HEY-YOU-HADDA with a bit of punch on the HEY and YOU.
2) It's LONG. Take a break and breath anytime by skipping one whole HEY-YOU-HADDA (you professionals probably don't have to do that like us hacks).
3) Two tracks if you want.
4) No effects such as reverb, chorus, and you shouldn't have to compress unless your setup requires it
5) Don't worry about what you sound like as long as you are on pitch there will be so many others, no one will know.
6) Have some fun with it
7) The pitch changes here and there, mainly in the middle, use the cues. Don't worry, a synth part will add a lot of variation that it is a tribal chant and the chanting is the most important.

Downloading
Click on the link, enter the password of rpmrpm at the bottom, wait 20 seconds, and then download. I am not responsible for any ads that are displayed, though I kind of wish I was.

I would suggest the cue files. They are much easier.

Send me the files as FLAC or WAV through yousendit, sendbifgiles, or sharebigfiles, etc. Whatever works.

Thanks tons. It's going to be a great song. Synth, didj, and the female vocal lead to follow.

And if this is TOO weird, I understand.

Re:Male Vocals Needed - Not Necessairly Good Ones - 2008/02/05 18:00 That's fine. Thanks.

Listening to it, sounds like a good advert for Viagra.

Hey you're a bit ahead of yourself there. We have even got to the didj part yet.

Re:Male Vocals Needed - Not Necessairly Good Ones - 2008/02/07 00:50 Holy smokes, Stu. You can sing WAY WAY down there. You must be bigger then I thought.

Big thanks for Gary Fox, Gumbo Stu, and JesusFreak so far for turning out so great chants! Gaia starting to come together.

Re:Male Vocals Needed - Not Necessairly Good Ones - 2008/02/07 02:38 One word that might help all of your vocalists (and perhaps yourself as well), Mick:

Looping.

kirk & wendy, aka acl

P.S. You don't want Kirk singing. He sounds like a frog in heat.

Imagine my surprise when the track timed out at 10:23... I haven't got the circular breathing thing down yet, but I only passed out a few times

Mick, help me out on the return flight: I have two mono .wav files to send you, each about 26MB. I've never used these 'big file' sharing services. How do I start?
