3 demos posted - 2008/02/12 01:12 Just uploaded three demos - two short instrumentals that will probably work as interludes between tracks, and one very rough working demo of a poppier song.

For "poppier" song, the verse lyrics are very rough and repeat, just so I can have a placeholder for the moment. The chorus will probably stay pretty similar to what it is now.

Please ignore the incredibly sh***y faux-British vocals stylings... singing is not my strong suit...

Re:3 demos posted - 2008/02/12 01:20 Excellent song. the vocal stylee will be fine. The "hey's" on the first verse are a tad loud - too close to the mic perhaps. levels on the second verse are much better. Yeah those "Come out" harmonies show the potential here. Great stuff.

(Sadly, Howard Devoto has the benefit of actually being British, whereas I'm just some guy from the States who inexplicably breaks out into British accent when I sing!

)

Gumbo - yeah, I'll need to re-record the vocals on this. I'm using a Rode NT1a and it's a pretty sensitive mic - I need to spend some more time fine-tuning my use of it... but I figured for a demo I could let some warts remain!
