Last year I mixed each song as I went, then did some touch ups at the end. Normally I work in a mix of all different schedules and methods, like mixing partly done tracks, adding more, mixing complete different takes, etc etc, but for this job, I think I'd go crazy mixing 10-12 tracks all at once.
As each track will be done quickly, you won't be overly familiar yourself with what you've done - if you come back to it a few weeks later, you'll probably end up spending lots of time just working what is what and how you planned to do it originally. Best thing would be to mix as you go, then at the end listen to them and fix anything that drastically stands out.
I'd love to remix the one I did last year, as the mastering was quite shoddy, but I couldn't for the very reason listed above.
