Why? Do you need help engineering (setting levels, adjusting knobs and stuff) or producing (deciding what instruments and arrangements there should be, selecting takes, etc)?
I have produced recordings from people who had their own recording equipment but simply didn't have any real experience in using it and also of people who simply don't have much experience with the recording process. Are you in one of those situations?
