Re:samples - 2007/01/14 16:21 Hi Jose,

We're so psyched you're waiting to contribute.

The sample engine isn't ready just yet, but it should be up on the site real soon, within a few days at the most.

As for where you'll access it, when you log in to the site, look for the sample engine link in your user menu on the lower left side of the page.

Can't wait to check out the beats!

Chris

Re:samples - 2007/01/15 13:06 I'm hoping and praying I'll be able to make use of some of your drum samples. Figuring out how I'm going to do percussion is my biggest challenge right now.

Re:samples - 2007/01/16 22:44 Hey All,

Will those samples be in ACID format, ie, allow timestretching? Or will they be in a specificied beat per minute format?

No worries either way, just wondering. I appreciate the fact that you are willing to do this at all, considering everything else you have got going.

PS-If anyone wants to hear drum loops in action, check my pages. All the percussion is loops-based.

Cheers,

Gary

Re:samples - 2007/01/16 22:59 I will record them on Ableton Live..
(which kick ass by the way)

saved as wave or quicktime or mp3 or aiff.

I imagine the would work fine...
didn't know ACID has it's own loop format

Re:samples - 2007/01/17 00:22 Hey Guys,

It's not ACID as a loop format. Certain .wav files are ACID format, which means that any recording program that is ACID compatible will take those loops and drop them into a project at that project's tempo. You can take the exact same loop and put it into an 80 BPM project or a 160 BPM project and the loop stretches or contracts to fill the time signature. All the while, it still sound clean, as if it was recorded just for that project alone.

Again, no worries. I am just looking forward to having more colors for the sonic palette.

Regards,

Gary
