Post your demos! - 2008/02/06 18:33
We're delighted to announce that you can now put your music in your profile, and listen to what other people are working on in their profiles! Just log in, go to your profile, and click the "music" tab.
Think of this as a musical sketchbook -- a way to put up songs you'd like feedback on, or post half-done tracks that you're stuck on and looking for new ideas from the community, or just give people a taste of what your RPM album is going to sound like!
Some caveats and conditions: - only upload mp3s, and try to keep the file size down since we have limited space (so please encode at 128kbps or less) - this does NOT replace the RPM Jukebox -- once we have all the finished RPM albums, we're still putting them all together in the RPM Jukebox for everyone to browse - this doesn't replace submitting your actual album -- we still need a real CD postmarked by noon, March 1 to RPM HQ, 10 Vaughan Mall Suite 1, Portsmouth, NH, 03801,USA or, if you're in Newfoundland or Labrador, send it to our satellite HQ at RPM Challenge NL, c/o The Scope, PO Box 1044, St. John's,NL, A1C 5M3, CANADA
- we've just barely tested this new system, so errors may occur -- as always, please report them to us at info@rpmchallenge.com!
The beauty of an extra day
We're lucky this year to have a whole extra day in February, and we wanted to encourage everyone to use it! We understand that some of you are driven to finish ahead of the deadline and turn your CDs in early, and we applaud your discipline and determination! But... we don't actually encourage early submissions. It's not a race, or a contest, and there are no points awarded for being done early. In the perfect world of our dreams, every single one of you would finish an album in February, and every single one of those albums would be turned in on the last day, because that means you made the best possible album you could in the time you had! We'll accept early submissions, of course! But if have extra time, consider using it...
Good luck!
