more mp3 stuff - 2008/03/03 21:19 okay, i'm having a hard time converting stuff to mp3's. i put my music onto audacity and then import into itunes as a wav file (it won't let me import as an mp3). once in itunes i can convert to an mp3, but when i try to find it to put it up on my page here, it only shows my wav file. sorry if this is confusing. i'm sure it can be easily fixed, but i'm not much of a computer person. thanks for any help.

Re:more mp3 stuff - 2008/03/03 21:21 First you'll have to set iTunes to import as mp3s. Then select the wav file in your iTunes playlist and select "convert to mp3". Yuor mp3s will be in the iTunes music library.

Of course you can also convert to mp3 in audacity if you download the Lame mp3 codec.

When you get the option to find your file for uploading where is it that you are looking?

I use my Desktop for this but you may have chosen another folder.

Either way. Audacity exports to your folder/desktop. You drag it to iTunes and convert it.

I then drag the mp3 from iTunes to my desktop (your folder?) and click the upload button in my browser. I navigate (if necessary) to my Desktop and find the mp3 (and also the WAV is there from audacity if I haven't deleted/moved it).
