recorded sound samples? - 2008/01/29 02:32 Is there a rule regarding the use of pre-recorded (and potentially copywritten) samples on the album?

I think it's the law that unlicensed samplings have to be under 30 seconds, but anything in terms of the RPM challenge in particular restricting that?

NO!

I heard something similar in relation to live covers. Hence U2 throwing in snippets of various tunes along the way. As I understand it, a sample is either licensed to be royalty free or you have to pay to use it. Or steal it and hope the lawyers don't notice.

Yeah, Vivian was my favorite on the Young Ones, I have the entire series on DVD. When I found that gif I was pretty happy.
