Tempo in Garage Band - 2007/02/15 21:01 Ok, this is a long shot but maybe someone could help me out...

I use Reason for the backbone of my songs. I add guitar and vocals in Garage Band and mix it there as well.

The problem is: I wrote a song in Reason at a tempo of 245, but GBand only goes up to 240. Not a big difference, but the song sounds too slow at 240. It would take forever to go to Reason and re-adjust every single note in order to bring it down to 122 and still play at the same speed as it does now.

Is it going to be a problem if I run Reason at 245 while Garage Band is at 240? It seems to mess with my real instrument and vocals slightly, but I'm not sure.

I don't want to waste my time doing one thing or another, so I thought I'd ask and see if anyone could answer this before I started working on it...

tempo 245, or 245 beats per minute
could easily be cut in 1/2 and still play
all the notes that you want.
instead of the beat being an 8th note, it becomes a quarternote
or instead of a 16th note, an 8th note.

i don't know how you'd import your reason track into garageband,
but it's gonna have to do something with the time cut in 1/2
but played twice as fast. I'm sure that you could do it.
