HELP!!!! MOTU PCI-324 card needed ASAP! - 2008/02/22 21:51 Well, here at Neurottica's little hovel are in HELL!
We've got 2 problems -

First, We need a replacement for the MOTU PCI-324 - it seems like it took a surge hit last night and it is now not work - all of our 9 recorded songs which are 3/4 done are stuck - does anyone have a PCI-324 card local to the Portsmouth area that they would like to sell? We are can travel to get it - Of course it is SNOWING! There are plenty of swear words flying around here and the frustration level is beyond high. We have taken the day off from work to try and resolve this since we have the entire band coming to record the final tracks and takes this weekend. If you have any advice or know a fix let us know - we are operating it from a Mac G5 - desktop and it now has to be updated to OS9.1 because we have been on OS9.0 but they do not offer any support for it - in fact the thing we got to back up everything and store the files does not work unless it is 9.1 or newer!!! UGH!!!! TEARS- CRYING- SCREAMING - RESIGNATION - IS THIS THE END OF RPM FOR US????

Also the LA2A is making a hiss - like a very light static sound on the drum tracks we laid down - this problem showed up first - have any of you heard of such a thing happening? If so, know any fix or tweak? I am not sure if the 2 issues are linked - they could be...

please - isn't anyone else using digital audio performer? Anyone got an advice? Or a PCI-324 card - it old, you don't need it anymore... come one...

i think i may have a os 9 install somewhere... i thought that you could DL 9.2.2 though?? i haven't used anything earlier than 9.2.2 since i upgraded, sorry... 5 years ago!

are you sure that you can't run a newer version of DP that can run on OSX?

If we upgrade to OSX then we have to learn the new DP version as well as the OSX - big learning curve this late in the game. Plus not to mention the cost of it... yikes!

can you call me to talk about this? Please? we need a little help...

We called Chris - he was great - if all else fails he has the card as a back up that we can borrow.
