Chain Tape Collective - 2008/02/17 20:01 Hey all interested RPMers!

After you wrap up work on this year's RPM project, if you want to keep the momentum going, you're welcome to check us out over at the Chain Tape Collective. We do it year-round; the CTC is a group of experimental recordists who for close to a decade now have been (ir)regularly collaborating on 'themed' various artist compilations. We generally choose a concept around which to base a CD, announce it to the group who then organize a roster of artists and do their project. All the CDs we've done in this manner are then posted on our site for free download. It's a lot of fun.

We're always open to new membership and we've got lots of free downloads from past projects.

We very much like the concept of this project. So much, in fact, that we stumbled upon it ourselves! In many ways (but not in all ways), what the Chain Tape Collective and The Very Us Artist do is similar. Except VUA is an embryonic startup and CTC are old pros.

But this is Tim's post, so we say yes, yes, yes! Join the Chain Tape Collective! (I bet we will!) These sorts of projects instigate ingenuity. This is the future!
