Eclectic Acoustic for Hire - 2008/02/07 07:15
Hello all,
Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone who's looking for a little spin on their music.
DISCLAIMER: Assuming I have time between my own record and school (midterms in 2 weeks!)...
I'm able and willing to do acoustic guitar parts for people who ask. Preferably nothing major - I don't want to be writing an entire song, haha. But I can add an interesting effect as a backdrop to a piece, or a short slap/tap/chording solo. My style is similar to that of Andy Mckee, Michael Hedges, Don Ross, and Billy McLaughlin, with a heavy dose of Steve Reich's minimalism thrown on top.
Equipment-wise, I'm running Adobe Audition (currently the demo, which has all features unlocked but no Loopology, but I'll be getting the full version relatively soon) using a Zoom H4 as an interface and a fairly nice quality (CAD, I believe is the brand) condenser mic. I play a Taylor 410 for pure acoustics and a Seagull S6+ equipped with a Fishman Matrix Blend when I need to plug in. Effects used are a Keeley compressor, Digitech Jamman, and Boss DD6.
Oh, and I play a good bit of bass, too.
If anyone needs anything, drop me a PM or post something here to let me know, and we can talk and see if I can cook something up for you, schedule pending.
Hope to be of service, Nathan Phillips www.myspace.com/nathanphillipsmusic
