Intergalatic Radio - 2008/07/22 08:41 I've been kicking around the idea of independent radio for years. Its back again and I have made contact with some people. Nothing is worked out but I would like to feature RPM artists primarily. I know we have a large enough talent pool here to fill a dozen radio stations.

There are number of things that stand in the way of any dream. One is called the FCC in this case. My first thoughts were FM radio in the Dallas market...yes the Uber competitive Dallas market. But its 5 million people over 2 counties and that is a lot of ears. But with FM, there are only so many spot and I think we're all full up. So I'm looking for either a different market or a new way to broadcast. We maybe beaming our stuff into space and back.

It may be a pipe dream, but so was Alice in Wonderland and its been around for a long time. Lets just say I've asked some questions of the right people and I'm just waiting for the right answers.

Has anyone had thier music broadcast? If so, we're you cool with the feedback you received? If not, would you be OK being broadcast in a rotation?

Independent radio sounds very cool.

Haha, the post reminded me of that song, for some reason...RPM...all the time all the time.

I'm trying to work on some new stuff too. Metal and punk and very noisy stuff mostly, if you have any need for anything like that too, although I've only got one song (mostly) done so far. Still want bass with it (I don't have a bass). First one on the myspace page. And this was supposed to be a little EP done by July!! Arghh...life...

Although concerning radio etc.: enough people stream through their computer nowdays, if there is a way to set up some kind of streaming scenario, it might be just as effective as radio. My thinking right off hand anyways...unless there's a way to break into satalite radio or something...

Beaming it into space...maybe that will mean that the first things some aliens will hear is RPM music! Lol...sorry if this post got a little random...I probably need to eat lunch, I think my blood sugar's low....
