You can do that.

Click on that little spreadsheet looking thing on the far right of the Search field and choose whatever columns you like. And you can arrange the order by dragging.

I do wish you could reveal a track number column, though. It would be nice be able to sort songs by the intended track order. Or am I also missing something?

Well, how 'bout that! Very nice. I can even remove the offending "genre" category from my field of vision!

I second clique's request for a track number column.

+1 here.

I've come to the point of making sure I have the artist page up for the folks I'm listening to, just to make sure I'm listening to it the way it was submitted...

But I'm sure Dustin is already at work at fixing this.

That is, if he's sufficiently recovered from Friday night...

Email the Tech Support email linked to in the Jukebox... the one that is for reporting issues. You can simply attach the fixed MP3 or something and we'll replace it..

Leprechaun? Jinni?

Mosfet is a god!

PS But no Feb yet please. I need a WHOLE year to come up with ideas. Riza/Paulo/Mandisa and Isilwanyazane were the only things I came up with on the spot in Feb. Everything else I had been thinking and making notes since Nov. Don't rush me!

Ack.. yeah.. I have to get married and stuff this summer.. so I really don't want to miss that. And plus.. as much as I want to work all month on an album again.. I'd rather not then have to work another whole month pouring over DB data following that month recording.. again..

So, I'll take the next year to work with the Ken and our newest recruit (we'll see how he fares with the initiation/hazing rituals before he's revealed) to get things rocking so that y'all can have even more control..

I just actually played a show on Tuesday night, quit my job this week.. taking next week off.. starting a new job on the 14th and promoting a show I'm playing that I booked with the band Tiny Whales (from Portsmouth) and my new idols - Film School - out of LA.. Crazy frickin month..

so.. Next week I'll be back in the loop on things here.. been soo slammed.. and maintaining a fairly consistent 'balcony-defying' drunken delirium..

Re:2008 Jukebox v3.0 Preview! - 2008/04/07 05:19 Anyone still reading this... what do we have to do to get the Jukebox to load under Linux, just 32-bit?

I hate Flash (HAY GAIZ, WE HAS NEW EXPRESS INTSALL FEECHER. LETS RELEASE IT ON TWO OF OUR TRHEE SPORTED PALTFORMS K?). It's an unworthy, broken platform developed by an incompetent company whose real target market is advertisers, and the web has taken it hook, line and sinker.

You won't hear this much from a Free Software guy like me, but... I can't wait for Microsoft to steamroll Macromedia. "OMG MICROSOFT TEH EVIL"... meh, at least they'll get some of the fundamentals right. Maybe. At least they are capable of it.

Please don't use the word "gay" in that manner, it's not clever.

Anyway, just go direct to the flash for now - http://63.127.196.20/Jukebox.swf

Try "guys".

Not only would saying "gays" there not be clever, it also wouldn't make any sense.

Re:2008 Jukebox v3.0 Preview! - 2008/04/07 17:22 Check out "THe Official Whining and Crying" discussion thread for lotsa Linux related stuff.

To make it simple for ya:

1) Install the "NoScript" extension to Firefox.
2) Go to RPM
3) Click on the Jukebox. The jukebox won't start but you will get the little NoScript symbol in the upper left. Click on it. Answer "Yes" or "Run" or "Okay" or whatever the positive response is.

This will let the Flash run without running the version check Javascript. The Jukebox will work in Linux

Re:2008 Jukebox v3.0 Preview! - 2008/04/08 04:24 I actually like the direct-to-flash route... bah on plugins, it's bad enough that the web is a Javascript application platform without the browser being one too.

Anyhow, the jukebox is pretty solid! My aging computer creaks, but... such is Flash, such is Javascript, such is the web as an application platform.

EDIT: actually, that was premature. My computer doesn't creak if I leave it to sit, the UI just isn't very responsive in iTunes mode. If I just let it sit CPU use is marginally higher than a normal MP3 player and less than YouTube. Rock.

Updates to 2008 Jukebox v3.0 - 2008/04/09 19:09 So we've now officially got Matt Parker working on database fixes! He's got a thread going on about Jukebox Login Issues so feel free to contact him or post on that thread if you're having issues! I too continue to fix things.. so, I'm here as well.

Also - I've been inspired by the Jukebox Whining and Crying thread that I don't have to read if I don't want... well, inspired by a contribution to that.. and have updated the loading animation on the Jukebox. So - clear your browser cache and hit refresh to check it out!

We're having a Jukebox mgt meeting tonight to discuss new features and the future dev milestones for rest of the year! WOO!

Re:Updates to 2008 Jukebox v3.0 - 2008/04/09 19:40 First, thanks to Matt Parker for lending your skillz (and laying down a bass groove for me on Wanyama).

And thanks to Dustin (and for another kick ass electronica listen) and Ken, again, for all the work you guys have put into this. If it weren't for users IT would be easy!

Any chance you can poke someone in the ribs to get the 08 video loaded somewhere? I'm very anxious to hear it. (I promise someday I'll post without asking for something. Promise!)

Thanks to all many times over.

Re:Updates to 2008 Jukebox v3.0 - 2008/04/09 22:03 OKAY.. so Ken just smacked me around for taking credit for adding Josh's record to the loading animation.. KEN actually added it... I converted it to a PNG on a transparent background.. and told him to.. but it was ALL his doing.

Oh yeah.. so Ken is lurking on the boards now too.. so, be aware of that. I used to threaten clients about making them have to work with Ken directly.. because basically he's ruthless and doesn't take no guff from no one. BE AFRAID!! BE VERY AFRAID!!

Re:Updates to 2008 Jukebox v3.0 - 2008/04/13 01:03 I'll mention this here, because I don't think it's a bug, just how the jukebox operates.

I went to delete a track from a playlist and the entire playlist went bye-bye!
Can't delete individual tracks from playlists?

Yeah, you can delete individual tracks by using the delete key - did you click the delete button at the bottom? That's for whole playlists - I should probably add a tooltip to that...
