Things to Remember - 2007/01/26 10:48 I thought it might be a good idea to have a place to write down things that will be helpful to come back and read when we're knee deep in it and losing perspective. Having never done anything like this before, I can only guess that there will be many times where quitting will seem like a good idea. Maybe this thread can help remind us why we're doing this in the first place. Or maybe this is just a dumb idea and I talk to much! Either way, here goes.

1. You're not writing your masterpiece.

2. Get out of your own way.

3. You asked for this!

4. You can, like, do it and junk. Go you.

5. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does (ouch.)

6. You LOVE music, remember!

It's Halloween, it's Hallow... hey, why are the drums not in time with the rest of the music?

Re:Things to Remember - 2007/01/26 15:53 for the first 2 weeks or so, try to write a song, or even a lyric about every day during that time period. weather it's about the whole day, a thought you had that day, a conversation, someone you met, what you had for lunch, a movie you saw...whatever, look for the extraordinary in the mundane!!!

Re:Things to Remember - 2007/01/26 16:09 Also, if you do not have any ideas, just press record and fool around. I cannot count how many times I have come up with good ideas that way.

I think this is the most important one, for me at least, but might be the hardest to remember.
