Re:Frederick E. Slidepole RULES!!! - 2008/02/16 20:38Vivian's subservience has been duly noted. Her and hers shall be shown mercy when the revolution comes.
Sadly, there is little chance that Still Standing will be still standing after the bugs take over the world.

Re:Frederick E. Slidepole RULES!!! - 2008/02/16 21:59I was told that I would be saved when the bugs take over the world but that was a year ago. I hope that mercy still stands.

Is Frederick E. Slidepole not merciful? - 2008/02/16 22:04The statute of limitations on Frederick E. Slidepole's mercy is one year and one day from the moment it is granted. After that, it must either be renewed or you take your chances when the coup d'splat shows up at your door.

Re:Is Frederick E. Slidepole not merciful? - 2008/02/16 22:30Mick's flattery regarding the infallibility of Frederick E. Slidepole amuses Frederick and the Bugs Who Took Over The World. However, his insolence in suggesting that Frederick E. Slidepole is an imposter far outweighs what ground he might have won. Things are not looking good for Mick, at this point. There is much work to be done to atone and achieve salvation in the eyes of the Bugs.
Say a little prayer for Michelangelo, dears.
’Tis true: Mr. Slidepole alone is little to fear. But the power he wields with the Bugs Who Took Over The World at his command is...well....bowel-loosening.

Glorify Frederick E. Slidepole Here. - 2008/02/17 00:14While nothing is certain in a world ruled by Bugs, writing and recording a song glorifying Frederick E. Slidepole and the Bugs Who Took Over the World may be an excellent way of securing lifelong security under the future Bugs-run regime. That is, assuming Frederick approves of your musical offering...
To Mr. Archer and all of your doomed race, let it be know that you may submit to us your paltry "song" and we shall see what Mr. Frederick rules.
If he likes it, you will be spared, joining the ranks of Joshua Wentz who betrayed humanity by collaborating with Frederick on the song "On Your Left (You'll Notice Bugs Taking Over The World)" last year. He shall be spared and awarded with a terrible job lifting heavy boxes for as long as he lives. That sounds bad, but consider the alternate: (see "Cnidophobic to the Max")
If Frederick is not impressed (more than likely by not groveling hard enough), you will still be granted mercy for one year and one day simply for your effort. After such time, you must find some other way to guarantee safety for when the coup d'splat begins.
If you are already certain you cannot be awarded lifelong amnesty as described above, you may still secure yourself for one year and one day by simply dedicating one of your current RPM songs to us by naming either Frederick Slidepole or The Bugs Who Took Over The World in your official song title.
The writer of Frederick's favourite song submitted will be awarded an autographed copy of the CD, Meet the Beetles and the Aphids and the Daddy Long Legs and the Mosquitoes and the Dragonflies and the Fruit Flies and the Deer Ticks and the Carpenter Ants and the Cicadas and all of their Friends.
The writer of Frederick's most despised song will be visited by a plague of locusts and be the subject of his ire in one song during RPM Challenge '09.
Post your songs here. And if you have any questions, Frederick E. Slidepole might answer them in this thread. Or, like Mick from above, you may be smited. Possibly both.

Re:Frederick E. Slidepole RULES!!! - 2008/02/17 02:42It would truly be an honor to at least have my thoughts read, let alone spoken about, by the magnificent symphony that is Frederick E. Slidepole. His is truly a catchy, and also triumphant sound. This must be listened to by all in the world who wish to have a purpose in their life.

Re:Frederick E. Slidepole RULES!!! - 2008/02/17 03:37Okay - flattery aside (well, in that Master Slidepole's disc was one of my very, very, very favorite RPM discs from last year) - what I really want to know:
Will there be another Frederick E. Slidepole and The Bugs Who Took Over The World disc this year?
Or will we be waiting for another glorious missive - for naught?
Inquiring minds want to know!
kirk & wendy, aka acl, aka another cultural landslide
P.S. Unlike Joshua Wentz, who always demands to know such things, we're only inquiring.
Thought we should make that clear.
P.P.S. Whereas we dig Msrs. Slidepole & His Bugs, we do not live in fear of his eventual dominion of Earth - that's why we have Ms.Kitty. She eats as many bugs as she can find.
Bring 'em on.

To ACL: With respect to your praise, Frederick believes you left out a “very.”
With respect to another dose of FESATBWTOTW, there will be no such disc this year. This is a year of…let’s call it “observation.” This year, the Bugs’ adoring fans must attempt (if in vain) to fill the void themselves with pæans to their superiority and of Frederick’s majesty. This will have to tide the RPM community over until his triumphant return in ’09.
With respect to Ms. Kitty: Look, there’s no need to drag her into this, right? I mean, it’s cool. It’s cool…
