Glandelinians is based on what Freud called the oral-sadistic or cannibalistic stage of life in which the child--his sucking libido unsatisfied and unsatisfiable--fantasizes devouring his mother's breast and devouring her contents. This is best expressed in the form of a collage of cat and hinge noises, audio from a trip to India, and video & audio tapes plucked from basement boxes or old answering machines. Distractions will be included. Any child's toy found lying on the floor will be incorporated. Hopefully we'll get a recording of one of our neighbor's drunken Farmington porch parties. The organizing principle, if any, seems to be what can be grabbed and tossed in and made part of a repetition compulsion.
